"A police station in Norfolk came under siege in the early hours when a group of about 100 people hurled beer and wine bottles at the building."

Hardly surprising in a town where you can open the catalogue at your local Argos and find congealed barf sticking the pages together...

Totally fucking wired

We just released the new ShareMonkey to the world. It's 23:29 and I can't sleep. I'm tailing the logs and seeing request after request for the ShareMonkey Setup file to be downloaded. I'm seeing hits to our server with links that can only be from within the installed application.

It's working. My God it's working.

Secret project... ShareMonkey 1.0... released!

leadbullet is proud to announce a brand new service - ShareMonkey.

ShareMonkey matches files available on p2p networks with the original DVD, book, game, album or application they came from, right within your peer to peer application. ShareMonkey 1.0 provides full support for Shareaza within the Library, Search, Download and Upload sections of the software, with more applications on the way.

Our software can find product origins for renames, corrupted files, clips and previews. We currently match half a million mp3s to their original albums and 200,000 movie files to their DVD origin. Our system uses the decisions of our users to improve our matching service, providing increasingly accurate results.

ShareMonkey will help you track down the album for your favourite mp3 downloads, the DVD of your much loved but poor quality rips and cams and your Indy-released games and applications. Now it's easier than ever to Thank Your Artist.

Our software is free from spyware, adware and price. You can download ShareMonkey here.

For business enquiries including partnering, or just to say hello, please email feedback@sharemonkey.com.

StealthNET Reunion - 1st April @ 13:00 - Meeting in Liverpool Street Station

Confirmed: Dan, Tarah, Keiron, Mike, Geoff, Ian.

Waiting for confirmation: Geoff, Ian. (But I'm sure they won't miss this event!).

Update: We're all confirmed!

The StealthNET reunion has been planned and will be taking place next Sunday in London. We'll be seeing each other for the first time in 6 months (or more) so there will be plenty to talk about (and laugh at). We'll be travelling from Oulton Broad to meet Dan and Tarah in Liverpool Street station (or the nearest pub) at 13:00.

See you there!

War, please

A discussion topic on BBC news asks Can UK and Iran resolve their difference?

Shockingly, the most popular comment (at the time of writing) is "48 hours to release our troops, or Natanz and other sites reach 10,000 degrees in 3 seconds.".

(Re)started jogging, got a movie share!

I went for my first jog in about 2 years just now. I have an aching chest, I'm wheezing, my teeth hurt and I have a metallic taste in my mouth. It was quite painful, but not agonising since I've been doing the odd sprint to the bus stop when I'm late in the mornings.

I'm continuing with the reward system (plan to do something, decide on a reward when you do the something, do the something, do / buy the reward).

The reward system really pays off. My reward for going on my first run is a share in my friend's first zombie movie, based on his popular Autumn series of books.

I would only allow myself to get a share when I'd gone for a jog. I'd told Dave I was going to buy the share when I achieved this, and I'd told him I'd definitely buy a share.

Now I've done it. Instead of just starting jogging (which is an achievement in itself), I get a double helping of satisfaction by being able to buy the share I've been eyeing for about three weeks.
